Our OECT is a community-based partnership among Children’s Aid Societies, School Boards, Post-Secondary Institutions, Youth Support Services and Youth Employment Services.
We have representatives from The John Howard Society, Highland Shores Children’s Aid, Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, Hastings Prince Edward District School Board, Resolve Counselling Kingston, KEYS Job Centre, Limestone District School Board, Loyalist College, Queen’s University, St. Lawrence College, Family & Children Services of Frontenac, Lennox & Addington and Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services.
Together we develop and initiate strategies to support youth who are in extended society care to increase their awareness of, participation in and success at all levels of the educational pathway, including postsecondary education, training and employment.
