About Us
The Lanark, Leeds, Grenville and Renfrew OECT Team (OECT) is a community-based partnership among Children’s Aid Societies, School Boards, Post-Secondary Institutions, Youth Support Services and Youth Employment Services.
We have been working together for close to a decade now and we continue to prioritize our work with youth and offer support for students in all levels of their educational pathway. This includes elementary, secondary, post-secondary in addition to training and employment opportunities. We pay particular attention to those youth who are at higher risk in the community and we strive to find opportunities and offer support that will encourage and build success.
Our team implements and maintains a local community-based model and we rely on strong partnerships amongst the members to build team strength and support. We strongly support the Be The Bold Initiative that encourages students to reach out for assistance along the way.
We work closely with our secondary, post-secondary and education/employment partners to understand and support youth who have a history or current relationship with the child welfare system.
